Granting wishes for children and teens in Delaware foster care
A 501C3 nonprofit
Thank You for a Wonderful Year of Support!
2024 was a year of transformation for us!
Here’s a look at our incredible journey and accomplishments:
We celebrated five years as a nonprofit, fulfilling 574 Holiday Wishes during the Christmas season—nearly double last year’s total— granting over 900 Wishes throughout the entire year and distributing nearly $38,000 worth of brand-new merchandise and gift cards!
We moved into “57,” a spacious, sunlit commercial space with dedicated offices, storage, and an upgraded “Little Free Store.” Thank you to the Delaware Air Force Base - Vehicle Management Team for moving us into our new location! Throughout the year, we partnered with the Delaware State Police to deliver suitcases filled with personal care items to foster teens and worked with Hope on Deck to provide back-to-school and holiday clothing.
For the third year, we participated in #DoMore24, raising over $3,800 including $550 in bonuses thanks to donations during bonus hours. We also hosted another successful Lunch With a Purpose/Coastal Delaware event and participated in a Kendra Scott Gives Back Fundraiser at the Christiana Mall.
This year, we were grateful to receive generous donations, including:
-
Over a pallet of toys from Cabela’s Toy Drive.
-
1,600 pounds of toys from Toys for Tots Sussex County DE.
-
Gift cards totaling over $7,000 from the Angel Tree at Saw Grass Community in Lewes.
-
Pajamas, toys, and a Christmas tree from Enzo’s Pajama Drive for Hope.
To strengthen our work, we attended the CenDel Foundation/Delaware Alliance for Nonprofit Advancement (DANA) Grant Writing Boot Camp and the DANA Impact Conference: Building Foundations for the Future. We were also honored to be selected for the DANA Accelerator Program, a three-year initiative to support nonprofit organizations.
Our mission and achievements received media recognition, including a feature on WBOC Delmarva Life, a front-page article in Bay to Bay News/Delaware State News, and a full-page write-up in the Delaware News Journal/Delaware Online.
